Alexis Perakis

PhD student in economics at Eth Zurich, Monetary Policy and Consumer Prices Expert at Kof Swiss Economic Institute

Alexis Perakis is a 5th year economics PhD student at ETH Zurich, Switzerland. He is also part of the macroeconomic forecasting team at the KOF Swiss Economic Institute, where he is an expert on monetary policy and consumer prices. Alexis' research focuses on empirical macroeconomics. Methodologically he is passionate about harnessing advances in probabilistic machine learning, artificial intelligence and NLP. Prior to pursuing his journey in economics, Alexis completed his training as an engineer. He holds a BSc and MSc in Materials Science and Engineering from EPFL, Switzerland as well as an MSc in Management, Technology and Economics from ETH Zurich.
