Breno Sampaio is an Associate Professor, Department of Economics, Universidade Federal de Pernambuco/UFPE, and Director of the Group for the Economic Evaluation of Public Policies (GAPPE.org). He is a Research Fellow at IZA, a Research Fellow at CLEAN Unit on the Economic Analysis of Crime - Baffi-Carefin Centre, Bocconi University and an Invited Researcher at J-PAL.
He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign/UIUC (2011). His research interests include economics of crime, labor economics, health economics and development economics.
