Gert Bijnens is an economist in the research department of the National Bank of Belgium. His work focusses on the
analysis of firm-level data. He is interested in the impact of climate, energy and technology on firm performance.
Gert is also a guest professor at KU Leuven. Prior to his academic career he worked 15 years in international trade in Europe and China.
