European Household Finance Workshops

The objective of these workshops is to host presentations and foster interaction between senior and junior researchers working in the area of household finance. The workshop will include state-of-the-art research on household financial behaviour and on how this is influenced by other choices, government policies, and the overall economic environment.

Incentives, Management and Organisation & Economics of Entrepreneurship Workshop

Since 2017, the Joint IMO/ENT Workshop brings together researchers from the annual workshop on "Incentives, Management and Organization" and the annual "Economics of Entrepreneurship" workshop. The joint workshop includes joint plenary sessions as well as separate parallel sessions and keynote speeches in both areas.

The Annual Conference on Urban and Regional Economics (CURE)

CURE brings together circa 30 urban and regional economists from across the world. Alternating across the Atlantic, CURE is held in the USA on even years and hosted by the Wharton School (formerly Princeton University) and the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. The European editions take place on odd years and is organised through the ITRE programme in different locations such as Madrid, Basel, Paris and Milan.

The European Research Workshop in International Trade (ERWIT)

ERWIT, held annually since 1988, has become the leading research forum in international trade and has played a significant role in raising the profile and quality of research in international economics in Europe and beyond.

Participants are selected to include a mix of established European researchers with international reputations, young academics at the outset of their careers, and prominent authors from North America.

The European Summer Symposium for International Macroeconomics (ESSIM) is held jointly with the IMF, MG and MEF programmes. ESSIM, CEPR’s long-standing annual symposium for International Macroeconomics, brings together Europe's top macroeconomists with a few US-based scholars for an intensive and highly interactive four-day conference. There is no central theme for ESSIM rather researchers present their best, current research on macroeconomics.

The European Summer Symposium in Labour Economics (ESSLE)

ESSLE is designed to bring together economists in the field from across Europe and key researchers from outside the region. It provides a unique opportunity for researchers from different universities and countries to discuss their work in a relaxed atmosphere and to develop long-term collaborative relationships. Another important aim of ESSLE is to provide young researchers with the opportunity to meet and discuss their work with senior economists.
